RSL Aquatics
Rene Nowell started her career as a swim instructor in 1986 at the age of 15 with her main goal of providing quality swim lessons and water safety rules to babies, toddlers, children and young adults. Rene believes that life is precious and learning to swim along with water safety is a big step in the prevention of unnecessary child drownings.
Drowning is the fifth leading cause of unintentional injuries/deaths in the United States. Children 14 years and younger are a large percentage of these drownings with children ages 1-4 mostly occurring in home swimming pools. Researchers have found that taking part in swimming lessons reduces the risk of drowning by 88% among all children but mainly with children 1-4 years where drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional death.
RSL Aquatics has established a respected reputation of personable, caring instruction in a calm environment with smaller teacher to student ratios to ensure that all of their students receive the knowledge and attention that is required to become strong swimmers. Additionally, we believe in a strong bond of trust between parent and instructor which in return ensures a trusting relationship between instructor and student to help swimmers of all levels reach their fullest potential.
RSL Aquatics is currently being taught out of the multi pool RSL Aquatic Center where we provide a safe, clean, and perfect-sized space for students to feel secure in their environment along with ample seating for parents to watch and encourage their swimmers.
